The laser fires with a glove on, from a metre away: that is why there is no camera. What you receive enters stock right away, without waiting for the invoice; when it arrives, the system reconciles and warns you if you are billed for more than what turned up.

An app for the industrial handheld, the Zebra, Honeywell or Sunmi kind, used to walk the warehouse reading with the gun. It does three things: order from the purchasing centre, receive goods at the dock and count stock.

What you receive enters stock at once, without waiting for the invoice, and when the invoice arrives the system reconciles and warns you if you are billed for more than turned up. It deliberately does not use the camera: the laser reader fires in milliseconds, with a glove on and from a metre away, which is the difference between counting an aisle in ten minutes and in forty.
